FROG – Underground Gate Operator
Suitable for new gateways and most existing gates, the FROG automation system is a very popular option for the discerning customer. As its name implies, this superb, most-copied gate system is designed to operate in damp, below-ground level conditions.
FROG systems are not only long-lasting and reliable but also installed without the need for any type of armature attachment on the inside of the gates. When you choose our services, we will visit your property to ensure that the FROG system is the best possible solution for your needs.
The underground gate motors are compatible with all the standard accessories, including remote controls buttons, and keypads. In the eventuality of a power cut, the FROG system has a key-operated manual release mechanism, conveniently situated on both the inside and outside of the gateway.
Ideal for automating either metallic or wooden gates, the FROG system is designed so that the pivot arm becomes the bottom hinge for the gate. Once correctly installed, there will be no apparent sign of the mechanism other than the lid of the foundation casing box, ensuring it does not affect the overall aesthetic of your gateway.

VER - Garage Door Operator
Comprising a comprehensive package of CAME equipment designed to automate new and existing tracked doors, the VER garage door operator is suitable for horizontal doors ranging from 1.8m (6’) to 6m (18’) wide. The principle of the VER is a rigid C-shaped steel shaft containing a strong carrying chain, which is connected by a bent “banana” arm to the centre point at the top of the door. This provides a powerful yet balanced operating mechanism.
This quiet 24-vote motor comes with an electronic control panel and limit switches. The limit switches not only cut off the motor at the top and bottom, but also decelerate the door when it reaches its final few inches of closure. This power-sensitive system includes an intelligent method of sensing any obstructions in the path of the closing door, with extra infrared safety beams if required.
With an integral light on a timer, there is a small courtesy light within the garage as the door is operated. There is also a manual release mechanism, enabling the door to be operated manually in the event of a power cut.
For outward-opening swing-type garage doors, we also offer a VER-Y system for an additional cost. With an efficient metal rod system attached to the higher level of both swing doors, this is an effective solution to open swing doors to 90 degrees.

With a two-way speaker system, an audible intercom will enable you to speak to the visitor at your gateway from the comfort and security of your home. Using an indoor wall phone, you will be able to check who is visiting and decide whether or not to let them in.
As an added extra, a “leave-open” switch can be fitted to the wall phone, which will allow you to keep your gates temporarily open from inside your home. This is an especially useful feature for dinner parties and other functions when several guests and cars would need access.
Often used in combination with other methods of switching, card reader access control systems are a very efficient method of accommodating and monitoring large numbers of users. As a user passes through an electric gateway, their card will be instantly read by the stainless steel touchplate, which is slot-free and weatherproof.
Helping you to maintain an increased level of security, CAME offer a coin-type token reader with reusable, grooved tokens. Suitable for electric gate systems, this allows entry to occasional visitors on an intermittent basis.
Tokens may be given out or sent in advance to users to deposit in the slot on arrival. Coin readers may also be used in combination with other forms of gateway switching, such as remote controls.
All control panels are housed in a tough, durable ABS plastic housing, which is weather-rated to the international standard of IP54. We further recommend mounting this inside an external housing to provide secondary protection against even the harshest conditions.
Avoiding the risk of losing keys or cards, digital keypads grant access to authorised visitors via a secure code. Family, friends, and other visitors will be able to enter through the electric gateway, provided they have the correct code.
Situated at the gateway itself, these metallic keypads are tamperproof. With secondary data information circuit boards installed away from the keypad itself, they cannot be forced open or short-circuited to gain unauthorised access.
Installing an electric latch is the best way to prevent damage to a long, flexible gate or to remove the stress and strains caused by pounding winds on closed boarded or similar types of “closed-in” gates. Electric locks also have the mechanical capacity to be released automatically by the control panel or a key in the event of a power cut.
When a metallic vehicle passes over an induction loop, the entrance will open. This system uses a roughly rectangular-shaped wire loop, laid in a coil that creates a miniature magnetic induction field above it. When activated, a pulse switch is sent to the gate control. Induction loops may also be overridden by a time-switch to restrict access to certain hours, with remote controls available for authorised users to use outside of those hours.
Traditionally used for opening secure entrances, a key switch system provides access to authorised key holders. Using an orthodox type of cylinder key, the key switch has a metallic finish for a stylish but strong appearance. Extra keys can be cut locally at a qualified locksmith. Additional forms of switching can be combined with this system at the gateway.
Magnetic Key Reader
Working similarly to a conventional key switch, a magnetic key system uses an individual code which will only activate the gates in the correct key reader. Especially common in commercial switching situations, this provides a secure yet easy entrance method.
A weatherproof push button is the simplest and most effective form of switching at the gateway. Generally, we will install two of these – one on the outside for entry and one on the inside for exit. These may be positioned to suit your individual installation but are usually fitted on the right-hand side of the entrance/exit side, so they are reachable from the vehicle driver’s window.
In case of power cuts, the time switch has a 72-hour battery back-up. When working effectively, this solution always ensures that passers-by are always presented with a closed gate, but visitors and deliveries can gain authorised access.
Radio Remote Controls
Set at the approved UK frequency of 433Mhz, our radio remote controls eliminate the need to point them at the gates, as with infrared or ultrasonic controls. With a range of no less than 50m with a tuned antenna, these easy-to-use battery-operated controls will usually last for about a year in residential use.
Creating a safety zone in front of your gateway, this system utilises active infrared safety beams from a DOC transmitter with a range of up to 18 metres in outdoor conditions. This represents an excellent form of positive beam protection around the gateway and on wing-type gates.
They are usually installed in two sets – one just in front of the gate line and one just inside the arc-line of travel described by the swinging wing of each gate. This prohibits the gates from closing until all vehicles and other obstructions are clear of the safety area. Furthermore, if a beam is broken after automatic closing has begun, it will re-open and hold until the obstruction is clear.
The standard visual intercom is a one-to-one set of equipment, connecting an outside speech and camera unit station to your indoor wall-mounted telephone and monitor. Although this system is more expensive and requires extra lighting at the gateway, this system grants you the ability to see your visitor’s face before granting entry.
